Studio Rouge was opened in February of 2011 in the heart of Grandview by former owner, Carolyn. The studio was created to provide a safe space for women from all walks of life to explore pole and aerial fitness, develop self confidence, and achieve their fitness goals. Since then we have opened our doors to people of all genders. Together, we dance, have fun, and cheer each other on – all the while developing strength, building self-appreciation, and increasing muscle tone and flexibility!
The studio is close to OSU, Downtown Columbus, several major highways, and is within walking distance to the numerous Grandview restaurants and shops. We’re easy to get to and close to some of Columbus' hottest spots!
Tammy and Gaby are excited to have taken over ownership of Studio Rouge as of September 2018. From the first time they visited the studio years ago, they instantly fell in love with the supportive studio environment and became addicted to life upside down on the pole, hoop, and silks. By day, Gaby is a nurse, and Tammy is a sales manager for a life science reagent company. In their hearts, they are two cat ladies that are excited to spread the special sense of personal pride and community that the aerial arts and pole fitness provide.

Alexis - Silks Instructor
Alexis first discovered her passion for performing at a very young age. Her background in cheerleading and theater would later lead to the discovery of prop manipulation aka hula hooping. After purchasing her first hula hoop at a music festival in 2013 Alexis has been in love with the performance art community ever since. Hooping has inspired her to explore other forms of movement such as fire fan and fire hoop dance, stilt walking, and most recent, aerial silks. She has since linked up with a local circus troupe known as The Amazing Giants and has been traveling and performing professionally since 2017. As a self-taught aerialist her hard work and dedication has led her to becoming one of Columbus’s top aerial performers with a goal to inspire and uplift those around her - proving anything is possible if you just believe in yourself. Wake your dreams and come fly with this tiny sky dancer! She is an Xpert Pole Fitness (Levels 1&2) certified instructor.

Sarah - Senior Instructor
From a young age, Sarah began her love affair with doing crazy tricks. Throughout elementary school, she practiced gymnastics, which was later translated into cheerleading during middle school, high school and college. In graduate school, she got tired of sitting around studying, and so she turned to pole dancing as a new form of exercise. After her first class, she was hooked! While she does value it as a form of exercise, Sarah feels that the true worth of pole dancing lies in helping women to understand their bodies and gain confidence in themselves – an important lesson that pole provided for Sarah herself. She is thrilled to be a part of the Studio Rouge community and to help other women discover what pole can do for them! Sarah is an Xpert Pole Fitness, (Level 1 and 2), elevatED Flexibility, Flow Movement, Spin City Aerial Hoop and Vertical Joe’s Twerk certified instructor.
Tammy - Senior Instructor/Co-owner
On or off stage, Tammy is always dancing. Her love affair with dance began as a young girl with ballet, tap, and jazz, and expanded into competitive Latin ballroom dancing in her high school and college years. After college, Tammy wanted to continue learning and decided to try something she always wanted to explore…pole fitness! It was love at first spin. She enjoys the blend of artistry, athleticism, and sensuality that pole fitness can give any dancer. As a Women’s Studies minor at The Ohio State University (Go BUCKS!), she is excited to have the opportunity to help women (and all students) learn just how amazing their minds and bodies really are. Tammy is a certified Xpert Pole Fitness (Levels 1-4), Xpert Flexibility, Liquid Motion and Vertical Joe’s Twerk instructor.
Tracy - Associate Instructor
Tracy began her adventure with movement and dance in elementary school finding gymnastics. A competitive gymnast through high school, Tracy hung up her leotard in college, but felt something was missing from her life. Looking for adventure, she walked into a pole studio and left with a room full of new friends and a new passion. She loves the laughter, friendship, empowerment, and self-expression that can be found in any class at Studio Rouge. Plus it’s a great workout! Her favorite part of teaching pole and exotic dance is meeting some of the most amazing women in Ohio, helping them find their own exotic side, confidence, and strength – inner and outer! Tracy is a certified Vertical Joe’s Twerk Technician.
Harmoni - Associate Instructor
Harmoni is passionate about helping others find the beautiful connection between mind and body in a safe, inclusive, encouraging environment that promotes growth and a love for the art of movement. Her own personal discovery & journey in aerial/dance has been life changing. The connection between mind & body and the creative expression of emotion through dance has restored her strength and passion for life after battling health issues and the resulting changes in her physical body. Harmoni has an extensive athletic background in sports & movement as well as stage performance and theater. She is addicted to the overwhelming amount of happiness, pride, and satisfaction from helping the beautiful souls she has the honor of teaching. Harmoni has been trained by Roz the Diva for "Coaching Plus Sized Athletes" and is a certified Cleo's Rock N Pole Instructor.
Elizabeth - Associate Instructor
Elizabeth has always loved connecting with women and expressing herself through movement. She grew up in dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading, but as college, work, and adult life took over, the time for her expression decreased. Pole was her way of dipping her toe back into that world and reclaiming her identity as a mover and a woman. She loves the way this art form and this studio both encourage strength, individuality, and women cheering each other on. She’s been a part of this studio now for six years and can’t imagine her life without it. She’s a certified Vertical Joe’s Twerk Technician and is excited to continue learning, growing, and sharing her excitement with her students.
Sara - Associate Instructor
Dance has been part of Sara's life since she was little. From pointe and modern to waltz and swing, there are few styles of dance that Sara hasn't tried at least once. In 2018, she took her first pole dance class and fell in love. One year later and aerial hoop stole her heart. She loves how hoop allows her to combine her grace and her strength to create beautiful lines and shapes in the apparatus. Sara has assisted dance instructors and is excited to have her own classroom to help her students fly with confidence and grace! She is an Xpert Pole Fitness (Levels 1&2) certified instructor, and is a CirqFit Lyra certified instructor.
Amanda - Associate Instructor
After losing over 60 pounds, she began attending classes at Studio Rogue in the fall of 2016 even with no dance or gymnastics background. She loves how pole has been helping transform her 40+ years old body. Amanda finds empowerment through pole and loves growing her self-confidence with each spin, climb and her signature drop. She loves bringing that enjoyment of the journey to others in her pole community and is grateful for the balance pole (and other pole dancers) bring to her life in return. She is an Xpert Pole Fitness (Levels 1&2) certified instructor.
Ashley - Associate Instructor
Ashley found her love for pole in 2014 when a couple of friends encouraged her to take a class with them. It was such a fun workout that she was hooked after just a couple of classes! Since then, she has been exploring various styles of both aerial and exotic dance and has grown to enjoy them all, although pole will always be her first love. She competed in the 2017 PCS Pole Open at the Arnold Classic and finished 4th in the Novice Division. Ashley would like to continue challenging herself to new heights, all while encouraging others to build their self-confidence through fitness and express themselves through movement. She is so thankful to be a part of the Studio Rouge community and is thrilled to share her passion and excitement for pole, hoop, and dance with her students! She is an Xpert Pole Fitness (Levels 1&2) certified instructor.
